Judges' Comments
John Chua
Colour is deep. Black fruits with good mouth feel and ripe acids on the finish. The food does well with the wine. Just a slightly acidic aftertaste.
David Bicknell
Full dark red colour. Ripe spicy berry fruit. A gentle soft palate with some savoury notes which work well with the food.
Steve Flamstead
An interesting cherry confectionary character. Almost carbonic maceration characters on the nose. Very pretty, very jube like and well balanced. Slightly sweet but also slightly acidic. Quite a balanced, complex wine with the food.
Neil Hadley
Quite a full red pink colour with a spicy nose showing touches of pepper. The palate is soft, showing some sweetness but finishing with a dry tannic edge. The sweetness sits on the centre of the food match.

Big, rich aroma. Ripe. Some pepper and spice. The palate is rich, sweet, perhaps a bit lollied. That sweetness persists with the food.

A bit dry and simple. A touch of firmness which detracted from the overall experience.
