LOGAN WINES HANNAH ROSE 2007

Highly Commended Wine

Wine label

Judges' Comments

Neil Hadley

A mid level pink with a fresh, lightly herbal nose. The palate has some spice and a dry edgy freshness. The juicy fruits and the pleasing structure work nicely with the pork. A good match.

John Ellis

A touch smoky. A simple palate. Hard acid. That acidity complements the food and the flavour persists.

John Chua

Red fruits with a hint of spices. It has a light structure with fruit acids. The fruitiness of the wine handles this food well.

David Bicknell

Pale light red colour with light strawberry fragrance and savoury notes drying towards the finish. Translates to sweet and hot in combination with the dish.

Steve Flamstead

A lively minerally wine with some fresh crab apple characters and also some red jelly sweetness. Hints of rosemary on the nose. A little bit of VA but not a real issue. Lots of spice. Some herbal rosemary characters. On the palate, a good acid sweetness balance.

Ivan Donaldson

Watery, it lacks fruit flavours and depth. This wine was made hard, more austere by food.
