Judges' Comments
Steve Flamstead
Ripe toffee and toffee apple aromas. Hints of fairy floss. A little bit of tar. Tight, slightly green acidity and a bit twangy on the palate. Maybe too much acid. Quite good with the food, but by itself, a little bit high in acidity.
Neil Hadley
Clear, bright pink with a rather simple lolly nose. The palate is sweet sour and rather unbalanced. The acids work well with the pork but overall the wine is essentially simple.

A bright colour. A slightly orange tinge. Clean, balanced fruit. Some palate sweetness. It remains balanced with the food. It complements the food well.
David Bicknell
Medium red in colour. Sweet, lifted and fragrant. Quite flowery. Red berry across the palate. Alcohol heat distracts from the food, leaving the combination unbalanced.
John Chua
Colour is deeper and denser. There is raspberry with a lean and soft acid finish. The food dries the wine making it more austere.
Ivan Donaldson
Light fruity wine but lacks real depth. Dry and simple but adequate. With food, it seemed to be enhanced. It complemented the food without dominating it.
