Judges' Comments

Paul White

Some really nice pronounced fruity characters on the nose. Super juicy tart cherry flavours on the palate. Very succulent wine. Great length. Lovely depth and concentration and it proved to be a great match with the food. The wine’s full bodied characters, its concentration and structure were more than enough to outline the individual elements of the dish and then cleanse it away later. A great wine and a really great food and wine match.

Kym Milne

A very vibrant colour. Probably the liveliest colour of all the wines in this class. Very good lifted fruit. Lovely berry, cherry fruit characters. Bright fruit on the palate with a nice touch of sugar balanced with some nice fresh acidity. Balanced and long. A good, quite full bodied Rosé. Very good with the food. The crisp acidity coped well with the dish.

Ken Dobler

An excellent blush pink colour. A nose of red fruits and berries. The palate showed some sweetness from the red fruits. Ripe berry characters. Excellent tannin balance. After tasting the food, the tannin character was balanced excellently. The acid of the food increased the flavour of the wine and it led to a good food and wine balance.

Adrian Atkinson

It was vibrant. Neon cherry red colour. Bright, vibrant fruit on the nose with some good sweetness. With the food, there was a sort of a cherry vibrancy and fruit harmony. But it had enough to be a nice wine on its own too.

Doug Frost

A sort of dusty, leafy and a fresh cinnamon hint to it. Currant. A clay note even. The mouth was sweet currant, dried leaf. Some lemon, some pepper and almost a medicinal sort of note with decent length.

Tony Allen

Day-Glow pink in colour. A very commercial juicy Rosé. Warming with some grip. It tasted a tad clumsy and alcoholic with the dish. Probably best enjoyed nicely chilled by itself.
