Judges' Comments
John Chua
Fruity and easy drinking. Would do well with new wine consumers. The acidity of the wine handles the touch of spiciness in the food. A good match.
Steve Flamstead
Cherries, plums, pleasant cordial characters. A very pretty colour. Sanguine, slightly meaty aromas on the nose. On the palate, lots of fruit sweetness back into the cherry plum spectrum. Good acidity and good balance.

Light bright red with fragrant red berry aromas. Has delicacy and lightness. Strawberries and cream palate. Deals well with the chilli.

Vibrant colour. Spicy fruit. Sweetness is obvious. It has acid to balance, but the sweetness sits too long on the palate, so it doesn’t sit well with the food.

Lighter coloured with a simple cherry plum nose. The palate is rather uninspiring with a cordial like finish and it is bland with the food.

A lively wine. Not big, but nice fruit and good acid.
