Judges' Comments

Neil Hadley

This wine has a decent light pink colour. The nose is quite attractive with herbal notes and a lively palate with some firmness and a clean acid finish. It’s pleasant with the pork showing a lifted overall spiciness on the finish.

Steve Flamstead

Although varietally a little confusing, there were some nice hints of cucumber on the nose. A good clean jube like palate. Tight and balanced. Very quenching, particularly with the food. A well constructed wine.

David Bicknell

Medium red colour. Strawberry and leafy notes. Quite simple and sweet with some back palate chew. This helps balance the sweetness with the dish.

John Chua

This is a wine that is fruity but light and lean. The spiciness of the food brings out the acidity of the wine.

John Ellis

Dull, slightly attenuated nose. It has a sweet palate, the finish is a bit uneven and the sweetness lingers with the food.

Ivan Donaldson

Lightly fruity, medium weight wine. Fresh and lively.
