Paul White
Some lovely subtle cherry red fruit florals on the nose and silky smooth texture with refreshing acidity. This was a small but nicely formed wine and it proved to have a lovely mix of red fruits in the context of the pineapple relish. I liked it a lot. Lovely wine. It’s got the structure, the texture and the aromatics to go with a number of things.
Adrian Atkinson
A nice balance, complexity and elegance with some good fruit and balance. Classic, vibrant Rosé character with the food with nice balance and harmony.
Tony Allen
A very serious Rosé with just a touch of sweetness. Excellent mouth feel and balance between the acid and sugar. This wine carried most of the elements of the dish very well without intruding.
Doug Frost
Light in colour. Mostly redcurrant and red cherry. Some heat throughout. Dusty currant skins with a soft middle from the residual sugar. Barely dull fruit. Sweet redcurrant, red cranberry and fairly short. A simple end with cherry. A pretty good balance with the dish as long as one didn’t use too much of the relish.
Ken Dobler
Showed a lovely pink character with slight orange hues reminiscent of Tavel Rosé. The nose was intense with red berries and unripe plums. The palate was somewhat thin and lacking weight. The palate remained somewhat thin and one dimensional with food. It was somewhat out of balance with the food. Although it was savoury, it didn’t complement the food all that well.
Kym Milne
A light blush colour. Lifted peppery herbal sort of characters. On the palate, a fairly sweet, slight candy floss sort of flavours and with the food it looked quite lolly. A bit too cloying.
